Schultz Rolls Out Three More Legislative Endorsements

Council Bluffs, Iowa – Councilman Matt Schultz is building momentum for his bid for Iowa Secretary of State with three more legislative endorsements. Representative Ralph Watts (R-Dallas County), Representative Cecil Dolecheck (R-Ringgold County), and Senator Kim Reynolds (R-Clarke County) have all joined the legislative team of Councilman Schultz.

“Iowans are looking for leadership right now, and Matt Schultz is a principled leader with a proven conservative record of fiscal responsibility and vision. Matt is one our finest young leaders in Iowa,” said Representative Ralph Watts.

“I am excited to support Matt Schultz. As I watch him speak he is connecting with voters and bringing a message of accountability with real ideas for strengthening Iowa jobs and fighting for fair elections,” said Senator Kim Reynolds.

Over the last several weeks Councilman Schultz has released the names of ten strong conservative legislators who are supporting his campaign and will be releasing more endorsements in the coming weeks.

Matt Schultz is a Council Bluffs City Councilman and is married with three children.

The Kid From Council Bluffs Gets Three More Endorsements

Council Bluffs, Iowa – Councilman Matt Schultz, recently dubbed “The Kid From Council Bluffs” by the Iowa Republican, is making waves with his first three Eastern Iowa legislative endorsements in the Republican primary for Iowa Secretary of State. Senator Tim Kapucian (R-Benton County), Representative Renee Schulte (R-Cedar Rapids), and Representative Nick Wagner (R-Marion) have all joined the legislative team of Councilman Schultz.

“Iowa needs Matt Schultz right now. He has a strong message of fighting for fair elections by pushing to reform Same-day Voter Registration and requiring identification when Iowans go to the polls to vote,” said Representative Renee Schulte.

“Matt is a candidate that I know can win in November. He is a pro-business candidate who won’t settle for just filing business records and dealing with elections. As Secretary of State, Matt will use the office as a bully pulpit to advocate for growing Iowa jobs and business,” said Representative Nick Wagner.

“These are three great legislators who have devoted their time and energy to making Iowa a better place for our children and grand children. I am grateful to have the support of Senator Kapucian, Representative Schulte, and Representative Wagner. They are a real asset to our team,” said Schultz.

Schultz now has the endorsement of eight former and current legislators including Senator Hubert Houser, Former Speaker of the House Brent Siegrist, Representative Doug Struyk, Representative Greg Forristall, and Representative Rich Anderson.

Schultz Gets Two More Legislative Endorsements

Council Bluffs, Iowa – Councilman Matt Schultz announced today that he has picked up two more endorsements from state legislators for his primary battle for Iowa Secretary of State. Senator Hubert Houser and Representative Rich Anderson have added their names to Schultz’s legislative team.

“Iowa needs a conservative candidate like Matt Schultz who is young and aggressive and is passionate about fighting for Iowa jobs and fair elections. Matt is a refreshing face with the experience and credentials to win in November,” said Representative Rich Anderson.

“I am humbled to have two great legislators endorse my campaign for Secretary of State and I believe with the support of Senator Houser, Representative Anderson and the people of Iowa, we will be successful in June and November,” said Schultz

Schultz now has the endorsement of five former and current legislators from Western Iowa including Former Speaker of the House Brent Siegrist, Representative Doug Struyk and Representative Greg Forristall. Next week Schultz plans to travel to Cedar Rapids and announce several legislators from Eastern Iowa who are supporting his Secretary of State campaign.

On Wednesday Matt Schultz was the first Republican candidate for Secretary of State to turn in his signatures and make his campaign official. Matt Schultz is a Council Bluffs City Councilman and is married with three children.

Schultz Announces His First Set of Legislative Endorsements

Council Bluffs, Iowa – Councilman Matt Schultz today released his first legislative endorsements to the media.

Councilman Schultz has spent the last several months building a campaign team that includes a number of Iowa legislators.

“I am excited about all of the interest and support we have received and I am proud to announce our campaign’s first round of legislative endorsements coming from Former Speaker of the House Brent Siegrist, Representative Doug Struyk and Representative Greg Forristall.” said Schultz.

“Matt is a strong conservative voice for fiscal responsibility and business in Council Bluffs, and I know that he will serve the people of Iowa and be a strong voice for Iowa jobs and business as our Secretary of State,” said Representative Doug Struyk.

Over the next eight weeks Councilman Schultz will be continuing to announce the rest of his campaign team as he travels around the State bringing his message of accountability in elections and standing up for Iowa jobs and business.
