A “Pro Jobs” Secretary of State

Creating Jobs and strengthening Small Business will be one of my top priorities as Secretary of State. I will advocate and fight for laws that promote small business and create jobs for Iowa. As Secretary of State I will work to streamline corporate filings. PDF paperless filings will be accepted through the Secretary of State website as well as online payments for corporate filing fees. I will add E-Verify resources to the Secretary of State website to protect Iowa Workers. I will speak out when the legislature threatens our Right to Work laws. I will stand up and defend Iowa’s Federal Deductibility law.

The Voters’ Watchdog

Ronald Reagan always said “Trust but Verify.” As Secretary of State and as the Voters’ Watchdog this will be my Motto, “Trust but Verify.” During the last four years we have seen some major changes to our election laws. The Legislature passed, the Governor signed into law, and the current Secretary of State supported Same-Day Voter Registration, which has created the potential for voter irregularities and fraud.

• Reform Same-Day Voter Registration
  Require all ballots cast by voters registering on Election-Day to be Provisional Ballots, to allow candidates to challenge any ballot that may be fraudulently cast
• Photo Identification
  Require all voters to show Photo Identification at election polls
